Mischief Maker

The cutest "uh oh, I've been caught face"

I was throwing some papers away in the trash and as soon as I would put one in he would pull it out. I went to grab the camera (which was about three steps away) because I have been telling Nick about Logan's sneaky ways of ruining my cleaning efforts and I heard Logan pulling out the papers and dvds. Within seconds we had an even bigger mess. As you can tell he is pretty proud of himself.

San Antonio Zoo

We got a family annual pass for the San Antonio Zoo a few months ago on Groupon for a great deal and we decided to finally redeem it this past Saturday. Overall Logan didn't really care where we were or what we were doing. He was very focused on his penguin pretty much the entire time.

Giving his penguin lots of kisses and hugs throughout the day

This bird (above)
scared Logan (below) and got this cute face which is mostly hidden by the penguin again

I thought it was so funny how he kept his feet up pretty much the entire day. He really has only been in his stroller without his car seat one other time (and only for a few minutes) so I am glad to see that he likes it and can get comfortable!

Giving his daddy some cute looks

We decided to take him out of his seat for the Africa section so maybe he would see the animals and enjoy the zoo but the face he is making is pretty much the extent of his reaction to the entire thing.

Looking at the elephants...

As we were walking I caught a pic of Logan and Nick giggling about something

Nick, Logan and an Okapi

Finally he decided to take an interest in something!!! This was the hippo tank that had some fish in it. It was the first thing he even noticed and it actually kept his attention for a few seconds.

So we continued onto some more of the fish tanks and got some better reactions. Looking back I am kind of thinking that he liked the fish because he could see his own reflection in the tank but we didn't notice because we were just excited that he was looking in the right direction.

I am sure we will be going back to the zoo to use our pass so hopefully one of these times he will enjoy it. Until then Nick and I will just get some exercise and maybe a tan while exploring the zoo.

Pool Days

Logan wasn't too sure about this pool when we filled it with water. He loves bath time so I knew he would like it if he gave it a chance. You can see how he progresses from clinging onto me for dear life and then splashing around. He still only sits up and won't really move from the place you put him but I am sure he will be loving it even more after a few more pool dates.

I wore my swimsuit thinking that when he got out and I held him I would be getting all wet but it turned out that he wouldn't get in without me so I got a little more use out of my swim attire. It is a very small pool by the way.

So proud of himself. This was after the Saturday afternoon conference session so the sun was already behind the house. It was really warm so the cool water was perfect! He finally let me get out but he would not move from his spot.

Here are some pics from a few days later during his "Pool Date" with a a cute 1 yr old girl. While they were both in the pool Logan sat in the corner and scowled and sucked on toys. She tried to interact with him and he would scream. She decided to go play on our swing and then I got him to finally smile and have a little fun. Below are some of the pics!
