Solid Foods

Logan loves to eat! Here are some cute pics of his eating adventures! He got this new hair chair for an early Christmas present from his Great Grandparents and Great Uncle.

His favorite food is carrots but he really likes avocado and sweet potatoes as well.

I have a lot of pictures in his chair mostly because he stays still long enough for me to take one! And for some reason I think he is super cute with food all over his face.
He is so not interested in feeding himself so I thought maybe if he had his hands in it and then he sucked on his fingers (which he does at ALL times except this time) he would realize he could feed himself. Instead he just liked to squish it in his fingers. Oh well.
Nick titled this picture "I freakin love avocado"- after that picture of the kid with the crazy face and crayons that says "I freakin love coloring"

He figured out that when he blows raspberries with the spoon near his mouth it makes a mess. He thinks it is super hilarious but I am not so much a fan of it. He also fake coughs to get the same splatter effect. The sippy cup is still for chewing on mostly but he does like to drink the water when it happens to leak into his mouth. He eats a lot of different foods and seems to enjoy them all but definitely has a texture problem. (Hmm I wonder where he got that from?) If there is even the smallest chunk of food he gags it up and it is hilarious to watch because he keeps coming back for more.
I am pretty excited that he is now on eating a lot of solids because that means one step closer to me getting to eat real food again! Because of his allergies I am not able to eat dairy, soy, eggs, nuts, strawberries or corn products. We found he is probably also allergic to wheat but when I eat it he doesn't seem to have a reaction. I am getting pretty tired of the foods I have been eating lately so if you have any suggestions or recipes let me know!

Snow in San Antonio

Yes, it snowed here and I have proof!

Everything shut down (like you weren't even allowed to get onto the highway) because there was an inch of ice underneath so Nick got to work from home and we stayed nice and warm with the heater cranked up to a nice 74 degrees. It melted in a few hours but the cold temps stayed for a few more days. Sorry, no pics of us out playing in the snow. I have seen enough snow for a lifetime after living in Rexburg and after looking for like two min I decided I didn't want to find clothes to bundle Logan in to take him outside. I realized he doesn't even have a coat and that made me smile. I guess he will have to experience his first snow another time.

Christmas 2010

This Christmas we spent here in San Antonio. It was really fun to relax and watch Logan enjoy his new toys while we played all of our new games!

We all got new pj's on Christmas Eve! Nick got some cool tools for Christmas as well as some clothes and games. And he can use all of his new tools to remodel our upstairs bathroom with the deals we scored at Lowe's (90% off) on the vanity and faucet. He also has grand plans to make a built in downstairs for our tv. We will definitely post about the projects when we have time to get to them!

Good morning! I am pretty sure Logan was a little confused about what we were doing. He was content just staring at the lights so we gave him his gifts one at a time throughout the day and he was really excited about the ones that played music. He loved the jumper but he could only play in it a short time because he had to put his boots back so mostly he was just content to watch us play with our new toys.

I got a ton of board/card games (my favorite!) as well as some of the new Wii games. I have been wanting Donkey Kong for Super Nintendo every since Nick and I got married and Nick had his Super Nintendo. When I was younger I loved playing that game but for some reason we only ever rented it. So I have looked at game stores and online but never really found one for a good price. Fast forward to this Christmas and they came out with a new version on Wii! So Nick got it for me and I love it! It is super fun just like the old one!

Logan loves his new jumper that he got! We took mostly videos on Christmas and for some reason Blogger does not like them so these are pretty much all the pics we have!

Family Pictures and Sundays in December

While my Mom was in town we had her bring her camera to take pictures of the three of us and then we almost completely forgot. Just an hour before she left we went outside and got a few shots. Here are some of them! Logan was not being his usual smiley self so we got some interesting faces from him. Enjoy!

Continuing our weekly pictures here are three of the Sunday's in December.

Sunday December 12th

Sunday December 19th

In the pictures above Logan is wearing the very first clothing item we bought when we found out we were having a boy! It is still my favorite thing he has and I wish we would have bought it in all sizes! We even decided to make his room those colors because we liked them so much. It is still a little big on him but I want him to wear it more than once so we started early!

Sunday December 26th

I love how this picture is so bright and it was taken the day after Christmas! Got to love the warm winters!!

Thanksgiving and Grandparents!

For Thanksgiving Nick's parents came to visit! It was great for Thanksgiving because Nick had people to eat all the treats and sides with him since my diet is a little bland these days. We had lots of fun and Nick and his Dad even got a project done- they installed a new light above the garage and replaced the other outside lights. Logan loved playing with his grandparents and we can't wait for them to come back to visit!

This is the light right outside the front door. They put a matching one above the garage and one for the back patio too. I will have to take more pictures because they look great!!

Just a few days after Nick's parents left my mom came to visit! We spent lots of time trying to do crafts and entertaining Logan. My mom brought her Cricut and we connected it to the computer and designed a bunch of stuff to cut but never got time to finish it! We also made grand plans for about thirty other crafts we are going to make for next Christmas' decorations. That means she has to come back soon!

(Above) This is one of the only pics I can find of my mom and Logan from the trip! What the heck?! I swear we took more! I think Logan looks super funny like a sneaky elf or something!

Here are photos of the windows my mom decorated for us while she was here! When we were younger my mom would always paint the front window with a Christmas scene and I loved it so she did our windows this year!

Sundays in November

We started taking pictures of Logan every Sunday to see how he grows. Here are some of the pics from November!

Halloween

For Halloween we celebrated by carving pumpkins, watching Nightmare Before Christmas with friends and going to our wards Trunk-or-Treat. For our costumes we dressed Logan up as a penguin and Nick and I put on blue polos and Sea World name tags. We decorated the trunk like the penguin exhibit and put Logan in it. He was pretty tired though and he pretty much slept through the whole thing. We did win most creative trunk so it was pretty fun!

Here are the pumpkins we made! And by "we" I mean Nick because I gave up carving my Mike after like ten minutes. We did Mike and the skull the night before we took this pic so they are already pretty droopy. I guess that is what you get when they sit out in 85 degree weather all day in Texas. Logan's Stitch pumpkin turned out pretty good though. On Halloween night we spent time with neighbors and friends making sugar cookies decorating them. It was a pretty fun but I cant wait for Logan to be big enough to take him trick or treating around the neighborhood!
